Just rambling…

Oops… I wrote this one last night but forget to post it. Duh. I was dead tired.

We filed our taxes tonight. Woohoo. We are actually getting some money back! Going to try and stick everything in the savings… I was kind of hoping we could do something fun together this summer for our 10th anniversary. :)
We took Rocky to the vet last night for his shots. Duane took him in last year while I was at work – we decided to never let poor hubby go alone again. Rocky is a bitch and a half, a wiener checker, a sad sack, a nebech on wheels… We had to get him all dopey yesterday (he gets a little out of control when we take him in) and even then he tried to snap at the vet. Smart me, I stuck my face right next to him when she poked him with the needle. She had to tell me to keep my face away from him, just in case he freaks out (he had a muzzle on, though) Or maybe she meant – don’t show him your face – you are going to scare him even more? ;) Rocky was nice enough to leave a little turd and a few drops of yellow on the counter, which I had to clean (Duane was supporting him because he was getting all wobbly). We took him home and he was acting mopey-dopey all evening. I felt so bad – I really didn’t want to do this to him – he was walking funny around the house, looking like he is not sure where he is and who we are. Oh the colors! :)
Going to the Flying Pie for dinner tonight. Yay!!

I found this in a blog I was reading this afternoon – I don’t really have a use for it (yet…) but I want one!!

The BabykeeperTM is a patent pending infant carrier style seat, that hangs from the stall wall in most public restrooms, and can also be used in many public fitting rooms.

It made me think about that time we were at the store and Duane went to the restroom. When he came back he was shaking (he was laughing so hard). A little boy was in the stall next to him with his dad. The boy was crying. His father asked him what was wrong. The boy: “I can see your privates!!”).

Woohoo! :D

A large green fire truck with it’s lights and sirens on was spotted by Canyon County Sheriff’s deputies driving northbound on Idaho 45 near Locust Lane around 12:30 a.m. this morning. Canyon County dispatchers told the deputies they did not know what fire the truck was responding to as there were no calls for a fire in the area.

Deputies continued to follow the truck, which still had the lights and sirens going, as it continued north on 12th Avenue, where it entered Nampa City limits. The truck then went into the parking lot of Paul’s Market on 12th and went back on the road, now going southbound.

Deputies determined the truck belonged to the Murphy/Reynolds Wilson Volunteer Fire Department in Owyhee County and pulled over the fire truck. The only one inside was the driver, later determined to be Goering.

Deputies are still trying to figure out how Goering, who is a volunteer with the Murphy Reynolds Wilson Volunteer Fire Department but not currently active, got access to the truck.

Wah. I hate snow. I hate winter. I hate being cold. If it was up to me, it would be spring forever. Screw that… if it was up to me I would be so rich I wouldn’t have to go to work when it’s -50 degrees outside.

I had a really bad, slow, annoying time trying to get to work this morning. It snowed just a little last night – but the roads were really slick and people were stupid (not that that’s a new thing…). I can’t go faster than the person in front of me, you morons. All I wanted to do this morning is go back to bed, turn on the heater and cuddle with my wonderful hubby. Wah again. Wah.
I had this in my inbox this morning, though

Maybe they watched Napoleon Dynamite too. We did, last night. My dentist told me he gave up on it after twenty minutes. I should have too… we just kept hoping it would get better. I know some people really liked it (I think they even had some kind of a festival or gathering thingie where the movie was filmed). It wasn’t all bad – I did like Pedro and his cousins. The part where the bully was trying to steal the bicycle from the nerd (hey! I’m a nerd too! and a very geeky one too…) and Pedro’s cousins stopped there in their car and just shook their heads cracked me up. The rest of it bored both of us – and we are used to indie/weird/whatever movies… (Duane: “How fast do you think you can get it back in the mailbox?” )
